CLAW -- Wow, Hasbro has this thing in its third release already. Strato-Viper looks alright but I'll wait until final product hits before passing judgment.

FLAK -- A favorite artillery piece, though equipment like this is mostly outdated these days. Outback looks primo. Wonder if he'll be "Sgt. Outback" or G.I. Joe Outback" to get around the obvious name copyright troubles with that popular restaurant chain. :shifty:

Arctic HISS -- Surprisingly cool. The details to differentiate it from the standard HISS add a lot more to the product than I expected. Anxious to see this in person!

Stinger -- Hm. I was expecting a recolor/mod of the new VAMP, not a near-straight re-release of the original Stinger. I'm hoping here that this prototype is simply a placeholder, and that they'll be basing the actual product off of the new VAMP instead. HINT TO HASBRO: repackage this with an ASP and an additional figure as a battle set for Xmas next year. Companion piece would be a VAMP/HAL set with Clutch & Grand Slam. ;-)

This idea = broke collectors, even richer Hasbro. We need to see something like this next year. [Let's see a Vamp II and desert HAL vs. desert Stinger&ASP    ]

Python Patrol Stinger? Or a Stinger repainted like the Rattler 4WD with Vypra! :D
Of course there is also the Tiger Force Sting.

These all look great but I have to ask... why the hell does a HISS driver need a parachute?

OK...I knew somebody would say that but really I think when I get them in my hands they will be getting new web gear of some kind. The chutes just don't seem practical for a tank driver.

I'm really not sure where everyone got this idea from. If you look at the original picture, the driver's AK is simply laying on the fender, on its side, and not mounted on the vehicle. I don't know why it wasn't shown in the figure's hand, but it definitely wasn't mounted either.

If you look at the Joe Club picture, there seems to be a clip holding the AK near its forward handguard.

No doubt about it, there is a clip there holding the AK on the hood in the Joe Club picture. Also, if it was just laying on the hood, the gun barrel would be flat with with surface of the hood which bends towards the ground. The AK is clearly lifted from the surface of the hood.

I hope we still end up getting that. I think it is a really nice touch.

Aah, I see what you're saying! I thought people were saying it was mounted there, as if it was in the upright, ready to fire position.
