Special thanks to PROZAC for sending me the comics for the Wild Bill/Scrap-Iron set and the Beach-Head/Dataframe

set. (Anybody got the Snake-Eyes/Hard Master comic and doesn't want it?)
WILD BILL/SCRAP-IRON. Interesting from the standpoint of how the story was presented. It's all done in "comm traffic" talk between the Joes and the Cobras, as Airborne and Wild Bill have to deal with Scrap-Iron and a Tele-Viper, while trying to help a team of Joes that have a phalanx of BAT driven HISS tanks on their tail, guided by Destro and the Baroness. Overall, it's a very effective action-oriented story.
BEACH-HEAD/DATAFRAME. Not sure what was weirder here, having to put up with Mainframe being called Dataframe, or seeing an unmasked Beach-Head with a mustache that Wild Bill would envy. Even so, this was a superb story, involving the two Joes trying to infiltrate Destro's Castle to plant a compiter virus. Baroness and Zarana are conducting a little coincidental pest control, and a bunch of "Recon-BAT's" -- BAT version 2's with an interesting color scheme that's even more reminiscent of the version 1's -- get involved. There's a tacky joke regarding one of the BATs, but it's a good tale, with a sort of "Indiana Jones" cliffhanger flavor to it.
WELL DONE, LARRY HAMA!I wish they'd give art credits on these books, because the art was pretty decent, too. I like these books. I may not be collecting the figures, but I sort of feel like these comics are a way of checking in with the G.I.Joe universe every once in a while.
Now, since I haven't really been paying that much attention, is there another batch of comic sets expected after this one, or is this it?
