It's the year 2000, figures got packed in nice 2-packs.
Let everyone know what figure you like best (and please explain why)!

Gotta go with Rip-It, but I'm curious as to who this "MAYOR BLUDD" guy is, as I seemed to have missed him. Maybe Major Bludd went into municipal politics?

This is tougher than the Joes. The Lamprey is a great figure, but not better than the original. The Cobra Commander has the best coloring of that mold, but features the flat back. Firefly was cool at the time, but has since been surpassed by the comic pack figure and the Urban Assault version. The Undertow and Rock Viper are both solid repaints of good molds. But, neither has really held my long term interest. The Rip It figure never did anything for me and I barely even convinced myself to buy one. So, my default choice is Major Bludd. This is the best American version of Bludd since he has the classic coloring but a more beefy appearance and doesn't have the limited articulation in his arm. His accessories were terrible. But, replacing those with the weapons from the original V1 figure works very well.

I didn't really realize how little I cared for the '00 Cobras until I looked at my bins and realized that I actually army built more Joes that year that an I did Cobras. Go figure.....

I love that Firefly too, though again, I don't use him as Firefly. I have 7 or 8 of this figure and use them in the way the original Range Vipers were described.

I went with Rip-It because despite a somewhat peculiar name, it did create a new character, in essence, and was an interesting recoloration of the HISS Driver.

A close second would be the Undertow, who would've made it into first place if Hasbro hadn't stunk up the figure with black weathering paint. Apart from this, the blue Undertow was a cool color scheme.

I actually missed this run in stores. This was the year I lost my original collection and didnt start re-collecting until 2002.

That being said, I did like the way storm shadow looked.

This was tough. Like Mike T. said, the original Lamprey is a bit cooler than this year's, but it's also a very solid figure. The Undertow and Rip-It are great figures as well, but for me, Rip-It is a singular character that I don't get much use out of and Undertow is too specialized to get the nod here. So, I went with Rock-Viper. The accessories are great and it's a fun toy in general. The emblem on the one leg is also very cool.

I like the dark blue of Cobra Commander

I would have voted for Storm Shadow if he had a back screw (but at least they got rid of the spring action ninja move) :-P

Undertow was cool, but they didn't come with v1's barracuda 8-O

Good year for Cobra.

I had to go with Lamprey.. far superior paint job to the original and really what I always wanted in the collection line- The classic figures released as improvments to the originals but still maintaining the essence of the original.

Rock Viper, only one small step ahead of Undertow.
Rock Viper is a nice figure that could work as an urban trooper or night trooper.
Undertow is very cool in that bleu, despite the vague black colours.

Say, do you all use Range / Rock Viper's bazooka that way? I use it the other way:
1. I put that missile in the bazooka the other way.
2. I use the bazooka "launcher the other way so the long part rests on the figure's upper arm or shoulder.
I know now you cannot use it to launch the missile with your finger, but I prefer this shorter look of the weapon, just as Bazooka's and Footloose's bazooka.
So, am I the only one?

Will it be a draw between Rip It and Rock Viper?

I voted Chameleon simply because I needed a Baroness, I preferred the red highlights to the plain black of the original figure, and the name change is something I can easily ignore. I know who its supposed to be.
