Not trying to be downer guy, but that picture is a shoop, and the article is about an unproven personal aircraft concept, that the designer isn't even sure he'll be able to build, and that he is coincedentally looking for someone to give him a coupla million dollars to do proof of concept testing. Like I mentioned in another thread concerning the original fang design, I'm still waitng for my Moller Aircar that I read was "just around the corner" in Popular Mechanics in 1986.

Um, yes... <grin> I was trying say (Not well enough I guess) that it is almost a direct copy of the FANG II design with two engine nacelles directly overhead, landing gear under the cockpit, and same basic tail structure as the toy - just like Yves Rossy's rocket pack http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-566434/Pictured-Rocketman-flies-Alps-jet-pack-strapped-back.html appeared similar to the Cobra C.L.A.W. Sorry for the misunderstanding. ;-) I remember seeing reissues of this mag from the 1920s and 1930s when they printed we would all be flying in blimps! HAHA

It's still neat I think. The design I'd have to say is probably from the FANG II. If not a direct decision, it's something that probably stuck in the back of the designer's mind and influenced him.
