A lot of us here prefer the 1/18 scale. As early as I can recall members like AdrienVeidt have touted it as the best scale. Along the way, I espoused the same ideal and others like zedhatch have made mixed line dios. My question though is what item(s) are your favorite when it comes to 1/18 scale?

As far as accessories go, I love 1/18 scale melee weapons. I guess it's the dark ages side of me but I go nuts when I see them and sometimes buy figures I have no interest in for their wicked accessories. I especially like this MM sword, I believe from a Gatchaman fig I got from Chad/Matt in a trade. It's got a nice size blade and a little bird type handle.

With figures, it's a little tougher. I have a plethora of customs that I've had made for me over the years. If I split it into customs then actual production figs it would be JFAK075's Leon Kennedy and Zombie Hulk.

Funny how they kind of go hand in hand, huh?

With Zombie Hulk, I was in to reading Marvel Zombies at the time and when I heard they were making this figure I had to have it. Out of the blue, one of my local friends just sent it to me as a gift! While it's not the best articulation wise, the sculpt is fun and it has a personal meaning. Also, Viperlord was quick to poin out that it wasn't true 1/18 scale but with the Hulk I bend the rules a bit. ;-)

Much the same with Leon Kennedy, really. JFAK075 are both RE nerds and he knew I was RAVING about RE4. So, for my birthday, he mailed me a custom Leon Kennedy he had made and a ton of weapons in a case much like Leon has.

But enough sentimentality from me. What are some of your favorite pieces?

Best accessory, hands down the Marauder modular M4. Holy hell in hand basket that is one sweet 1/18 sclae weapon.

BBi did a great job of giving us a bunch of weapons from sniper rifle variations to SAW variations to anti-armor and anti air weapons that I feel really help compliment the Joe armorments a lot.

Snake Eyes v.2 sword. Maybe the DVD pack will replace it as a favorite but every SE since that figure has held the v.2 sword in their hand since I feel it is his definitive sword.

Does Chap Mei's dive suit count as an accessory? If it does then I'm putting it here because that is just a nifty cool piece.

Killuminati's Coats also make the grade simply because he does outstanding work that really can make a good custom great.

For figures that aren't Joe or Star Wars I have to say I'm a sucker for some of those Mego lines like Buck Rogers, Star Trek, CHiPs, Magnum PI, Dukes of Hazard, and The Black Hole. I've cherry picked a lot of those lines for favorite characters and I'm always impressed with the quality considering their pushing 30 years old.

The Marvel Legends Build-a-Figure that started it all, the Sentinal, is one bad momma jamma. I could go on and on about 1/18 scale robots so I'll just let this one stand as the best of the best.

Dungeons and Dragons also produced some really cool figures. I wish that line had been a little bit better received. Before Warhammer there was these guys taking on all comers in role playing/actual playing fashion.

I never thought in my life I would ever get a burning heart in 1:18th scale but now I have one so that has to clasify as a fave right off.

For some reason I always liked Airborne's modified M-16, just kind of cool.

Thor's Hammer-Nuff Said

The Simarition

As for fave figs that is tough.

Today I am dealing with my Hellboy love so he has to be in the top 5 somewhere (Just got him today).

Microman Batman

VvV Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.

25th Destro (IG and regular).

TOD Indiana Jones.

BnB Triple H

Microman Godzilla

D&D Warduke

Thon the lion man (From Flash Gordon)

But seriously one of my absolute faves has to be Micronaughts Anton He was one of the first and only micronaughts I ever had and he has been a saple of my collection ever since. Really I have used him as a bad guy for all my figures (Starwars, GI Joe and everything else). Since I got him (I beleive in 1979 actually). Sure now he is raotten shape with lost attachments and tons of wear, but I still think he is cool.

Favorite figures, my Leon and Ada. Heads by John, with appropriate credit for his awesomeness. Those two I can look at and pose all day long.

For accessories, that's a tough one because I have been making the ones I wanted because they didn't exist in the proper size. Just finished a crossbow made from a broken end Zarana's cutting rifle, and the bow limbs from one of the later issue Scarletts. I even added the bowstring, because a bow without a string just seems like pants without zippers or buttons. Ada's grapple gun would be another.

Hmmm -- accessories aren't something that I've paid a lot of attention to, but I've always rather liked Snake-Eyes original UZI, Scarlett's original crossbow, and Cobra Commander's blaster pistol that snapped onto his back (or was supposed to, anyway).

As for figures, perhaps outside the realm of G.I.Joe, I really like Microman, although (a) wish they weren't so fragile and (b) wish I could afford to round up more of them. But looking around, I seem to have quite a few other 1/18-scale lines represented here to one degree or another -- Star Wars, Indiana Jones, DC Infinite Heroes, even WWE, (and I'd LIKE to add some of those Motion Revive figures) so that's kind of a tough call.

Actually, it was Galactus that was the first in the Marvel Legends BAF trend, and he is definitely high on my list. Awesome figure, and almost perfectly scaled (1:18) to his appearance in the Secret Wars comics. Can also throw in one of the most recent BAF's with Fin Fang Foom. He is so cool that I can actually forget just how much I had to pay to get him. So far they are the only two BAF's I've been snookered in to getting.

For figures it is really tough for me to nail down one particular favorite.

The Hot Toys Aliens and USCM figures instantly come to mind, so do the new Mezco Hellboy 2 figures, which are just about as close to 3.75" perfection as I've seen in a good long while.

I've never really been big on Microman figures, as to me, they represent how too much articulation can ruin the esthetics of a figure. Leading to them all looking robotic and very non-human due to their over articulation, and lack of concealment of the articulation.
