Good call on the Locust. I'd have to say the Polar Battle Bear and the Ferret rank at the top of small vehicles for me.

Even better call on the Ferret. I love that vehicle. Even the Joes liked it and made it the Tiger Paw. For a 4 wheeler this thing was jam packed with armorments. A front gun, a big ol canon, and missiles. Plus it could hold two cobras for a quick in and out strike.

Zartan's Chameleon swamp skiff and the Joes MANTA wind board are great because they could be broken down into parts and carried over land. I loved that as a kid. But honestly I couldn't narrow it down to just one. Every year it seemed the line came up with at least one fantastic small vehicle. Most years they had two or three. Something for everyone and every environment.

Yep, I can't choose a favorite either so here are a few:

Size 1 (like a car)
Joes: AWE Striker, VAMP II, Swampmasher.
Cobra: Ice Snake, Piranha.

Size 2 (smaller than a car)
Joes: Silver Mirage, Tiger Paw, Locust.
Cobra: CLAW, Ferret, Flight Pod, Night Raven Drone, Night Landing.

I just thought of one, and I haven't seen them mentioned, but I don't know if you would really call them vehicles:

I love me some PAC RATS. I had a blast with them. I even painted some Starriors mini robots in od and black so I could have more of them.

Also, I like some the motorized backpacks like the Tank Car and Drill.

I can't explain why, they're just fun.

Yeah I forgot about the Night Landing. Fantastic small boat. Tons of accs. I have Firefly riding it, just like the box art. Perfect match.

I also agree with Stalker on the Polar Battle bear. First vehicle I got. It's broken now, sadly.

Yeah I'm a big collector of those too. My favs are the radar and the mine sweeper.

I've had more than share of play-time with small items in the Joe line...good memories...good times...

Joe
1. JUMP jet pack - lots of figures have logged flight time on this simple device. The helicopter action-pack also gets some love, too. I always have someone taking off from the JUMP platform on this as well. Lately, I've been buying Gen Hawk jet packs and snipping the missile tabs off for all-flighty goodness.
2. Silver Mirage/Armadillo/Devilfish - $5 vehicles and reasonably carry 3 figures.
3. Sky-Hawk - if I were going away for a weekend and my parents only let me carry 1 thing in the car, this was it. Duke, Stalker, and Rip-Cord would keep me busy the entire weekend.
4. Tank-Car - it's silly, but it's the closest thing I have to a Joe go-kart.
5. tow-cart/fuel trailer - I don't want a Flagg, but I'll gobble up as many of these items as possible.
6. Check Point Alpha - I always had a lot of fun playing with this set for some reason, and even now, I've bought so many things to augment this simple toy. Nothing gets past my check-point, a bunch of hedge-hogs from the machine gun defense, barb wire, concrete retaining walls, and MJ rails guard this post...and a bunch of Trip-Wire mines litter the area.

Cobra
1. Jet-Pack - that big cannon just looks cool, I tend to have 2 Vipers hanging on the back of a HISS to make a rapid assault group. The Sonic Fighters jet pack from Maj Bludd isn't too shabby, either.
2. Adder - traditional Cobra colors and very functional.
3. Night Landing - Firefly, an Eel, and a couple Night-Vipers; all told, I've been able to cram 5 or 6 figures onto the raft. The re-released one from TRU get a lot of Joe-action, too.
4. Night Raven drone - I don't have a Night Raven, but I have a couple of the drones.

My vote is for the ferret

With the Sky Hawk and RAM in close second and third!

Think I'll have to go Devilfish for Joe and Ferret for Cobra.

(I reserve the right to change my mind the next time I get to *explore* my collection)
