Hasbro and Mattel has just announce they will keep most toys at 20 buck or under so kids won't feel the sting of the economy. It was just on WGN news...I can't find a link yet online because I was watching the news on TV...But when I find it...I'll link it

That just means less cool stuff.

It's like those 100 calorie Little Debbies - sure they are 100 calories, but now I have to eat like 5 of em at a time.

It did say MOST toys. I'm sure there will be some items here and there beyond that mark, just as there are now. Most toys are under $19.99 right now as it is. This is just Hasbro and Mattel assuring customers that's not going to change. I don't foresee a lessening of quality, if for no other reason than Mattel can't endure another product recall (!). Not a bad announcement to make with Christmas on the horizon.

Great!

Now all I need is a kid to buy all my toys for me...

Seriously, though, that's great for kids but what about the adult buyer?

(Yeah, I know...)

:wistful:

If you do find the thread or the quote, can we all forward it to some of the online business that charge $39.99 for a Star Wars vehicle that has a $19.99 tag at Target?

Don't ya know, some of those online stores can only get their supply by purchasing them from Target, and they need to make a profit somehow ...
