No vehicle driver. Bad move, Hasbro. Even the worst vehicle can be saved by a sweet driver.

No self-respecting driver would ever drive this thing.

If I was gonna name something Fort America, I would have named the General instead.

It's kind of an insult to have what the concept of this thing is and then what it's name is. I'd go as far as saying 'metaphor', but I think you get the idea.

To go along your thought about a driver, given that the whole design is supposed to look like urban junk, does that mean this was an early Spy Troops idea and any driver was gonna be in disguise as a homele...uhhhh, unfortunate, down-on-their-luck sidewalk denizen?

Fort America looks more like something Thrasher would put together. Maybe add some more junk to it, add some Dreadnok colors, make it more look like junk, and you could have a decent Dreadnok Junkyard Anti-Theft device (a modded CISW, like they have on US Navy ships to prevent missiles from reaching the ships).

EDIT:

I'm not sure how popular this thing is, but The Ultimate to GIJOE 1982-1994 has this entry:

MISB $35-40
MIB $25-28
MLC $12-20

What about the $20.01-24.99 and the $28.01-34.99 ranges?

I totally agree. This vehciel should only be owned by those who are completists or those who appreciate the oddball items the line has to offer. This vehicle makes little sense. It has weird play features that may have a slight MASKish play value that fall way short in the execution department. Froma design standpoint, this is the kind of thing you'd expect from someone who got the project after someone else quit.

:hasbronerd: "I gotta design what now? Screw that. Time to start updating my resume while I piece this hunk of junk together."

Two hours sleep folks, these are the jokes.

I remember when I got this....it sucks so bad. It doesn't really look like it's completely transformed in either mode. I kept thinking to myself "it's got to transform more and then it will be cool". Nope. It just sucks ass. Absolutely the worst vehicle in the whole joe line. Whoever designed this must have been really high that day. Really, really, really high....on crack.

I disagree. I would say marijuana because if they were on crack they would have loaded it down with too many features since they would constantly be bored looking at it.

Hey, y'all are giving drug-users a bad name here. Even if y'all were on your way to get a last-minute Xmas gift for your kid and were robbed, beaten, kicked in the face, and pissed on by a crackhead; that's no reason to say he designed the FortAm.

It insults America and Forts everywhere with its very existence.
