They even went to all the trouble to remove the rebreathers and put them whare the backpacks should be. Seriously who has time to pull something like that?

More on a line of cost effective. At some point they had to pay to get the Night Creepers anyway. Judging by the look they were complete at the time. So figure 5.99 for the Two pack (Night Creeper vs Kamakura - ?) then 6.99 to 7.99 for the Viper.

LMAO!

Don't forget about the time value of $ and inflation ;) Add in those two, and it was losing money for them to do that lol.

LOL!!! I seen those Night Creeper Vipers too! It had to be in Arkansas though, I didn't go thru 'Bama!

As far as not being cost effective, you are assuming they didn't rip off the Creepers in the first place!

I guess it's true that sarcasm doesn't read well on the net. :)

If considered for a real GP, I wouldn't expect anyone to actually attempt to return soemthing to a store for a refund (because that is just wrong).

It would be more of along the lines of just creating something really wacky-like picking up some obscure generic figure or vehicle at a garage sale and then sealing inside packaging. Something like those knock-offs of knock-offs you see in Dollar stores that use the Luke X-WIng head.

...not meant to be a serious GP...

I definitly agree with you there. Sarcasm CAN'T be read well over the internet ;)

I actually ran across this last weeek and saw it again today... This is the worst of all, IMO, because the swapped out figure... is a CUSTOM!!!

Image

This was the same Target as the crapped up Duke with Vamp, and I am reasonably certain they were done by the same person (because that Duke had a swapped head...)

This is despicable.

that wouldn't have happened if you'd bought it before he could swap n return

seriously though, stores have to have a way of tracking that, right?

I saw a t-crotch CLAWS fig with a Mainframe head the other day replacing scuba Baroness. TRU actually figured it out though because they had the item "reduced" to $19.80.

Sounds less like any kind of a thought out custom, and more like somebody getting rid of spare parts.

I say we find the guy, and burn him at the Mistake.
Last time i checked, it was a federal crime to commit Fraud.

Fraud being returning an item disquised as the original product.

These are serious crimes these people are commiting. People who take this lightly will only allow this to get worse.. and it will. No consequences but not getting your money back? why stop trying.
