I just started there about a month ago and was told that it's by sales and on hand counts. As the item sales the computer system keeps track and when it supposedly gets to a low enough # it automatically orders more. The dumb thing though is the one I work at has had the same buzzer figure for 3 or 4 months with no new joes ever stocked in the single cards but a couple days ago in the go back(return) cart there was a tiger force flint and the same wave baroness so there are 3 there now but I'm pretty sure the 2 were a return from another store cuz targets got that wave in about a week beforehand.I am gonna talk to the store mgr. at my store and see if he can order more though and he said he beleive you can't make $ if you don't have the product on the shelves.

Seriously you need to have the Toys DM check the on hand count. I bet it shows you have a LOT on hand which is why your not getting any new. I've had the Toys DM at the WM nearest me check the on hand almost religiously to see that it says they have 5 on hand and only 1 on the peg so that would mean 4 were stolen. The comp don't count for the stolen figs. :(

1-800-walmart (925-6278). You can call that # and tell about your shopping experiences at wal mart. Tell them about how they never have enough Joe product in and it gets to the higher ups. I called that # and told them about the new Toy Dept Mgr refusing to go look for anything cause he was too busy and would never find it. It got all the way up to the President the Co-Mgr that called told me and he told them to talk to the dept mgr immediately. So calling does help.

RT,

Thanks for this. Next time I get hit up for a bribe by a WM employee when I ask for Joes, I will make sure to call.

A few months ago, my local WM actually had boxes in the back which the employees were withholding. I ask an Associate if there were any and he says to me - Yeah, we have them but we aren't putting them out yet. I have had a bunch of people asking me for them. There were even a few who offered me 50 dollars to get them some.

No matter what store it is, if any person does anything like that, make sure to report it. That's actually against any store policy and wrong. I think it's technically illegal too. I mean you can stretch it and even consider it many things. But yeah, anytime that happens I'd report it. If they actually out and out asked me to pay them to get it, I'd probably head straight for the front and get the store manager. It's enough to have to put up with scalpers, but we don't have to put up with crooked employees.

I work at Wal Mart too. I am a level seven supervisor. My friend is the toy manager as well so I know how things go.

We can not order specific waves at all, we get what we get. When the Joes were $4.44 they sold so fast we could not keep them in. When we were really low for a while we actually got a few cases in direct, which was weird. But other than that time they come on a regular basis and we are pretty well stocked.

As far about changing so we can't order products that's not happening at our store. No way. They do dump stuff we don't need a lot but that's another story.
