Just in case folks haven't seen it, Generals Joes Q & A page continues to be updated with Hasbro Q & A responses, including three recent additions from YoJoe, Figures.com, and Blood for the Baron.

4. We know that you usually cannot talk about various things like exclusives, boxed sets, etc, but we're dying here — figures for Tele-Viper, Crimson Guard, Viper, Cobra Trooper, Cobra Officer and Copperhead already exist — looking deep into your Hasbro Brand Magic 8 Ball, what's the potential for a Python Patrol set? (c'mon, we are getting Tiger Force Duke and Flint, and Python Patrol Officer, don't leave us hanging!)

Hasbro: There are no plans for this right now, but have you seen the Extreme Conditions packs?

Wow.... It doesn't get more blatant than that, does it?

:lacespudneck: I like apples. Can I get an apple?
:hasbro: Sorry no apples. Hey check out this wrench!

1. What determines when certain tooling is used for a particular figure? For the new Lt. Falcon comic pack figure, many folks think it would have been more aesthetically accurate - and pleasing - if Flint's short sleeved arms had been used instead of the typical (and loathed) Duke arms. Is there a reason why the Duke arms were used? Is it an issue of mold availability, or simply a designer choice since it doesn't seem as if cost was a factor?

Hasbro: For using existing tooling the design team has to come up with tooling that both fits the figure and is available (not in production). In the case of Falcon, the Duke arms were available. Your feedback has been heard and we will see what we can do about this in the future.

I say that's a huge load of BS since the mold for the Duke arms must be constantly be in production! I say kill the mold! Seriously though, I don't mind the arms as much as the bad head sculpt Ive seen from the pictures.

I think in some cases such as Lt. Falcon or Tripwire, it will be worth making an improved version down the road. And the fact that they are not single-carded now only helps the chances.

Thanks again Justin for compiling all the links to the Q&A. It sure beats trying to track them down and either missing some or reading them so far apart that they don't all sink in. That bit of confirmation on Omega Force is great.

Yea it's the same story they keep feeding us about how they have heard about how much we hate the Duke arms only to just keep giving us the same hated arms again and again and again.

They really need an on-line contest for how we'd like that mold taken out for good so they will stop using the darn thing. I vote for dropping it into a live volcano.

1. The Rattler and Conquest X-30 were both retooled for Sound-Attack exclusives in 2002 and 2003 respectively. Have those tooling changes been corrected and if so, have there been engineering improvements such as re-enforcing the fragile landing gear assembly on the Rattler, or the canopy tabs on the Conquest?

Hasbro: The new Conquest and Rattler will be on shelf within weeks and you will be able to see for yourself…but yes we have improved the landing gear and canopy.

....They didn't answer the damn question. Are the rattler and conquest going to be the SA tooled versions or not? We don't WANT to wait for them to be on the shelf for the answer, we want to know BEFORE WE BUY THEM SO WE KNOW IF WE'RE GETTING ANOTHER CRAPPY SA TOOLED VERSION OR NOT!

.....wow. It's like they're making a game of how f'ing annoying they can be when answering these things. It's like talking to the Mad Hatter.
