Worst Ideas... I'm going to keep this to the traditional-style line since that's where my expertise is...

SPRING-ACTION FIGURES -- Okay, some decent characters in Ninja Force, but the built in spring action features meant that the figures had to be SEALED, making O-Ring replacement impossible. I'm scared to even pick up my Ninja Force figures these days. And it didn't do any favors to the articulation, either. And I really wish they hadn't reused the Ninja Force Storm Shadow so many times in later years.

G.I.JOE INFANTRY SIX-PACK -- One of the most colossal disappointments of the Toys "R" Us six-pack run from 2002-2006, especially after the generally impressive Cobra Infantry Six-Pack. These cheap-looking remolds and repaints were some of the worst figures ever. Between the part choices (I mean come on, the HISS Driver torso?) and seriously sloppy paint jobs (is that your hair or did someone spill something vile on your head?) -- AAAGGGHH. Just horrible.

COBRA EARTHQUAKE - A neon colored steam shovel with a towable missile rack? What the hell was this!? Somebody help Destro, I think his helmet's too tight and he's not getting enough oxygen in there.

1992 DESTRO - From the noble -- and tall -- Enemy Weapons Supplier to a 3-3/4" exaggerated joke with a too-thin, non-chromed head and a collar that looked like he had an entire parachute stuffed in it.

COBRA RAT -- One of the cheapest-looking vehicles of all time. A hollowed out shell with snap-on wheels and a disc launcher that didn't work half the time. When your product is WORSE than the knock-off companies, you should be embarrassed.

Those stupid nose picker hand that can't hold anything, they are only useful for saying how long something is, or how close someone one is to making you mad.

I agree with a lot of what's been listed so far: Cobra-La, neon colors, Super-Trooper, etc.

I'd also include:
1. (I know I may be in the minority here!) the Transformers crossover/Transforming Silent Castle era in the Marvel Run. Not to mention the cover title: "G.I. Joe starring SNAKE EYES and Ninja Force!". That grated on me last nerve.
2. Issue #44 of Marvel (exploding Creeper-Plant-Bomb-Thingies). It did have some good dialogue with Airtight though. And looking back now, I laugh when they marvel at "one those new wedge-shaped vans". Man, that makes me feel old!!
3. Tony Salmons' pencils on several issues. Woo boy, those were horrible. I bet even Super-Trooper could have done better.
4. Venomous Maximus. Totally unbelievable.

Venomous Max is just a low rent version of Serpentor. That's my problem with him.

DNA of history’s greatest conquerors and warriors > DNA of animals

The design also makes him look like a dumb goon, but he's supposed to be really clever if you believe the CGI movie. I personally hear Grimlock when I look at Ven-Max... "Me Venomous Max ANGRY!"

I'm always torn on Venomous Maximus. On one hand, the concept was incredibly ridiculous and the character was lame. On the other, the figure was one of the best constructed, most detailed, best designed figures in the entire line. It was the first Joe to have a ball-joint neck, and the first to have injection molded joints. So I'm always hesitant to add him to the 'worst of' lists, despite how ludicrous the character and the concept were.
