Not sure if this is news or not but I haven't seen these locally in a while and thought I'd missed them but they are in stock on the Hasbro Toy Shop site. Promo code SPRREQ8 works for 10% as well.

Danielb and Ash found them on Wal Mart.com where they were able to ship them straight to thier store with free shipping and no tax. Didn't find them today when I looked though.
