I just remember a ton of people getting pretty seriously upset when Steve Carell's character in 40 Year Old Virgin was an action figure customizer. Some people don't have much of a sense of humor about their hobbies.

Really? The only part I remember people being upset about was that they simplified customizing to just "I'm painting your blue pants grey!" or something of the sort.

I thought that was a Napoleonic mini. That equates him to being a Magic player or 40k gamer given how most of the collectible toys shown in the movie are those with the simplest copyright hurdles. His apartment should have been full of Star Wars, GIJoe and Transformers.

How cool would that scene have been if he was repainting the neon color of some 90's Cobra figure?

Dude, 8-O You just posted an evaluation of the details within the spoof. That was the singular most geeked out response to a thread in the 11 years I've been a nerdy toy collector. How many times did you rewind and freeze frame that scene so you could identify the toys involved? Admit it.

You have just lowered the bar for us all.

Obligatory: :-P & :rotfl:

Please, that virgin’s room looked like Sideshow’s 2001 wholesale catalog.
