Personally I don't care what people think about me or my hobbies. I live my life to the best of my ability and do what I can to help others every chance I get.

If some anonymous internet user has a problem with what I do with my time and my money, I ain't losing any sleep over it.

Like wise I was always the cool gut growing up that everybody liked, picked first for kickball or basketball etc......but the whole time I was growing up I played with action figures and collected and customized till I was about 14. I used to take model paint make blood stains on my 12" Joe's or a dab on the corner of his mouth to make him look like he had been in a fight.

I used to tell my friends I couldn't come out because I was on punishment when I really just wanted to play with my action figures. So I don't care nor have I ever cared what people think about my hobbies, I just do me and they don't get it. Too bad they don't know what their missing out on. Customizing is great for relaxing and reducing the stress of being a "responsible adult" :rotfl: Hey guys don't tell my wife I said that .....OK!?

I’d say customizers are disliked or at least overlooked because there are virtually no consideration taken into the design for 25th Joes with those sealed torsos. Also why I don’t custom Star Wars figures.

Really? I've almost completely given up on customizing RAH because the 25th line has so many more possibilities as far as articulation and gear is conserned. As far as construction goes you could argure that the 25th are easier becuse you can easly switch there gear and swap their heads without any tools.

Don't forget that some of the Hasbro staff themselves are customizing the 25th figs also.

Customizers. Misunderstood often, disliked occasionally, but envied...ALWAYS.

There is nothing so quinessentially cool as having the chops to say:

"They didn't make it the way I wanted, so I Did It Myself."

Or:

"They didn't make the figures I want so I had to make them myself"

I think those two sentences sum up why I got into customising in the first place.
