Yeah, like I said, look at BTR Duke and that head is pretty much exactly what Duke looked like. Almost down to the point that it looks like the head was sculpting with the animation in mind. Lots of people use that head for customs and it's even been cast and sold to lots of people on other sites.

Anything people might feel will be "wrong" is just because you haven't seen it. Seriously everyone's jaw was on the floor and everyone cheered. I'm not the kind of guy that just cheers at those sort of things and I even had yell approval. It was great.

Here's the print that I was able to get. I didn't scan it, I shot it with my camera. Thinking about it, I don't know if I should scan it and put a high resolution image out there. I'm sure Hasbro will be doing that pretty soon.

Those outlines have a sigma 6 but more realistic took to it. Anyone else see that? It'd be cool to get those figures back for the cartoon, the later ones that came out looked a lot better and more realistic and less anime.

I'm pretty sure any cartoon figure will keep the 3 3/4". Hasbro wouldn't say of course. Some stuff they sort of hinted at but even still didn't feel comfortable saying it, so I won't repeat any of it out of respect to them. Needless to say though, I think they do know what they are doing with it at this point. They did say it'll probably have a cartoonish look and I gather it'll be it's own line. I gotta say though again, Duke looked so much like that Built to Rule Duke that they could just reuse that head. It was great animation.

I'd imagine any toyline will be 25th style in articulation since Hasbro has repeatedly stated that that is the style they're sticking with right now. The sculpting on the other hand could be totally animated and still keep the articulation and design scheme of the 25th figures. Which would be okay with me.

Though if they did dig up the 8" format I'd be all over it like Hawk on beav. And I know I wouldn't be the only one :D

Is 'adult' a forum friendly way of saying the material is respectful to the genre instead of the typical focus on gore and extremism that makes fans want to cling to their comics and Original 13?

Yes "adult" in this case doesn't mean gore. They gave you everthing you wanted without you having to see it. As they cmpared this to, it's a lot like the old horror movies where you don't have to see the dead body to be scared and know what happened.

It is a reboot and a beginning. They pretty well made that point by showing the original cartoon start and the film "burned" as it gave way to the new cartoon. If anybody has paid enough attention, you know how I am about continuity. Saying that and getting what we will be getting, I am fine with a reboot. It's true to the characters, true to the style, and so much better. They even said Duke got a "character lift" so to speak by having some thing tweaked about him that people do not like.

I'm not going to add much considering all that's been said covered it well enough, but that cartoon snippet kicked so much ass that had to play it 3 times to get all the ass kicking goodness out. Badass doesn't even begin to describe it. I hope everyone gets to see that because it will blow you all away.

I'm actually pretty excited about this and can't wait to hear more news on it.

This sounds awesome! I wonder if they'll unify this with the new comic continuity?

I doubt it. It sounded like another joe reboot.

Better, in my opinion. Very reminiscent of Ghost in the Shell and Animatrix...
