There are 5 parts needed to the construct the Device, with one part being in each of the upcoming 5 DVD and figure sets

Cobra Commander v31 comes with an element container and the other "element" figures will be Cobra Diver with the Water Element and Tripwire with the Desert Element

Is that everything you need to complete the entire M.A.S.S. Device?

Yes. You just have to buy five DVD sets at $20 each, and then three figures at $7 each, making it a $121 Build-a-playset.

At least the DVD sets we've seen so far have been fairly quality. Really, the only clunker in the whole mess looks to be the CC v31. I do think it's dirty pool for hasbro to put a completed picture of the MASS device on their website as one of the two shots for the first DVD set.

See when I first heard about this I thought we would be getting the MASS Device with the first DVD set, weather Dominator with Revenge of Cobra, Control Cubes with Pyramid of Darkness, and hopefully a BET with the Movie.

I was really disappointed when I found out I have to get all the DVDs just to make the MASS Device.

The thing that bugged me is it was just assumed that we'd be getting Pythona in a movie pack and almost everyone was exicted about that... then it became best of episodes... probably with Duke, CC, Snake Eyes, and other rehashes.

Fan service to toon fans, yeah, I love it... but I still feel like these packs could be much better. Only toon Destro and LJ excit me thus far of the figures.

And neither would hit anything except vehicles after people had lept to safety...meaning the joes and cobras unable to aim at anything, yet moving faster than a freakin' lazer!

all of a sudden i don't want these if i have to drop $121 just to put it together. that's not quite as worth it as say a headquarters would be. i see many figure swaps and returns in hasbro's future...

Kinda feeling the same way (although I do like the dio pieces like the hand-truck and vines). Of course, I can always use the custom fodder.

.....and I'm going to be super-pissed if we don't get a decent v1-style Serpentor with the Arise, Serpentor, Arise pack. And one of those DNA collectors.

So far, I'm loving these sets. The Lady Jaye is a vast improvement. The Destro looks really nice and will replace the one I have. To me the Roadblock is meh.. The Weather Dominator is WIN!! The Trooper with hand cart is nice. The Baroness is sweet (even with the Scarlett parts). Stalker will be my base for a Ripcord custom. Snake Eyes....well, at least he has that container that comes with him. I can not not wait for these things to come out. We just need some pics of the other sets.
