While I agree a HISS Driver body with Red Star legs would be awesome, I still like the Bludd we got.

Go ahead and stone me, but I think 25th Bludd is a decent figure. I'm not a fan of the character, but that's him all right. I agree that the arm SUCKS though. I understand the reasoning for it, but disagree with the decision to reduce the articulation.

And apparently somebody agrees, because I can't find a Bludd anywhere

Just got my Maj. Bludd yesterday.

I agree with Viperlord, this is not a bad figure. I can even live with the arm. I guess the arm is only supposed to be armored, canon-wise, but I look at it as a prosthesis (its thinner than the left arm, only has three fingers).

If anything, it made me want to pick up a Zartan, which I was never a fan of.

Anyone else have a favorite character you were really looking forward to in 25th style and just found yourself profoundly disappointed with in execution?

Major one was Firefly (my fav cobra) Web Gear choking him was my big comlaint, but overall the figure was such a waste. His Comic pack version is only slightly better but still has many of the flaws of his single packed, I was hopeing the better webgear might make him more tolerable, however that isn't the case.

Another major one for me was both Ace and Wild Bill, the torso arm problem has been talked to death, but I can't help feeling both figures were off somewhat.

Zartan was another one, His skin will NOT change back to flesh tone. My house is a constant 70 degrees and he is still green.

Shipwreck, Pin head and popeye arms.

Spirit. Smashed in the face with a fry pan.

Ripper and Torch: While I liked them, they still felt like a step backwards.

Breaker: Really felt he had potental but just looks like a greenshirt, while I understand the point of the old joes reuseing molds would have caused some of that, he looked even plainer than his original.

Bludd is just another added to my list. There have been alot of good figures thus far, but really there have been just as many bad, I wonder if the demand would be so high if these figures didn't have the distro problems. But it seems for every great figure I find I also find at least 3 more just ok or terrible.

Finally found a Bludd today, and my opinion stands.

It's the best Bludd figure ever (Which really isn't saying much is it?) and I like it. Not perfect, but nice.

That said: I've got an easy LBC in mind for old Bluddy as soon as I can find another.

It only has three (very thick) fingers because the actual armor it is based on has the fingers doubled up.

Hasbro missed the mark on this one, but I don't think it's a monstrosity.

The Hiss Driver torso would have been better, but the Zartan one isn't that bad. A web belt to cover up the skull belt buckle seems obvious, but I guess Hasbro didn't think so. Likewise, the Viper boots or Red Star boots would fit the old feel better, but the Zartan boots are fair enough.

Given that Hasbro didn't put enough effort into mimicking the original look, I would have preferred a different look, like they did with Serpentor. Maybe use a totally different approach, like the Ace body cast in blue with Cobra Officer webgear. The Snow Job body cast in tan with a camo pattern.

At least he got an original head, unlike the red-headed stepchild Grandslam.

If anyone's looking for a quick spruce-it-up for the figure, the NS Bludd's mini-cape thing looks pretty cool on the 25A Bludd.

Zartan is my favorite character and I think the 25th version of him is the best one yet. He's the figure that got to start picking up the 25th line.
I haven't gotten a Major Bludd yet so I can't comment on him. But over all (except for those Duke arms mainly) I've been pleased with the line especially since they got the crotch fixes in. It's not perfect and there are some things I would have done differently but the same can be said of the ARAH line.
That's just my opinion though.

for me it was Spirit , i wanted to do a whole custom line of him ,( get a lot of extras and put his head on other figures) but his head scuplt looks so bad . My problem with Bludd is that he is all reused parts (except arm), why? in the ARAH line most figure were all new scuplt (Scrap Iron /Airbourn) but most main charcters had there own body a Cobra trooper in brown would have been better than the Zartan body.I thinkits funnyhaow the card art has 4 fingers on the arm but he only has 3 , so i think its a runnig joke that will never be fixed

I finally found Bludd. He was the hardest one of these last couple of waves to find. I must say, the figure isn't THAT bad. My major gripe is his pistol rocket things on his backpack. They do not stay in there no matter what I do. It would be a better figure if the arm moved like regular, though.

I'm starting to find this wave now, but the last wave isn't getting a new shipment. I need 1 more Wild Bill and 2 more HISS drivers. I guess to copy the cooler looking Major Bludd like Spin Doctor made, I need 3 more HISS drivers. The new comic packs are not showing up either.

But yeah I just saw more Major Bludd figures today at Wal-Mart. I've already got 3 and that'll be all I'm getting. 1 to keep in the pack, 1 to customize, and the other is an extra incase I want to open it and display it side by side with the one I customize. The figure just isn't any good. Those that like him, hey good for Hasbro I guess but even without the use of Zartan's body, I'm not too crazy about certain other things about the figure now having him in hand. Some of the things I see now, I didn't see with the picture such as that way to small of an arm.

C'mon, man; how is Hasbro to learn their lesson if you're buying 3 copies of a figure you don't think is any good? :-/

Yeah but I generally get more than that with the 25th figures. Now that they are showing up, I have about 12 Parka Snake Eyes figures for custom ideas. I had some custom ideas I was going to do with Major Bludd, but I don't have a use for him other than to redo him the way I want him to look. The initial figures are now off the shelf and restocks are coming. Major Bludd is starting to warm the pegs here. So now where as if he was a good figure I'd have probably bought some of those extras, I won't bother. It looks like others aren't either.
