Dune is from a small desert town in Arizona, that boomed in the early teens of the 20th century during the gold rush but died out with a fire, it now is a small little nostalgic place to visit.

Dune was one of the first guys I painted. I realized after completing him that it didn't make much sense to have a desert guy with heavy snow type dressing for a hood, I tried to get him open but the screw was being difficult so I just figured, 'oh well'. It works.
