I have never really liked that Dr. Mindbender was a such a "jack of all trades" when it came to the realm of "mad scientist."

Genius or no, there needed to be a larger pool of talent to draw from.

I was a fan of the "Dark Angel" T.V. series and decided that before he started with Manicore, Dr. Sandeman worked for Cobra. The genetic research he left behind was used by Dr. Mindbender to create Serpentor and the "venomized" Cobra troopers.
