This figure came about because I had a strange K-Mart head. The head had a wool cap and a cheesy mustache, but I thought I could put it to good use anyway.

My other goal was to see how much I could disguise a Duke chest. The Duke chest design is one of the most recognizable in the entire RAH line. I was impressed by its use to make the Vietnam Stalker figure- it takes a minute to realize that it was a Duke chest. I thought I'd like to try to use the Duke chest, but trying to make it even less identifiable.

Covering up Duke's pouches with larger, rectangular pouches helped quite a bit. The double collar, however, was still much too obvious, so I added the neckerchief to hide it.

I never understood how the Duke figure could wear a backpack, as it didn't have any backpack strap on the back (it's the same back piece used for Doc). A little plumber's epoxy later and the straps were in place.
