Wouldn't it be nice if Hasbro would just break down and make a nice generic dress uniform body? A Star Wars/limited-articulation style would be best, but if it hasn't happed by now, it probably won't.
Anyway, this was my first attempt at heavily customizing a figure by sculpting. Now that a year or two has gone by, I'm really let down with how it came out. The jacket pouches look sloppy, the buttons are oversized, and the skirt portion is too short.
Nonetheless, it's one of those "heavy effort" projects that's worth showing for that reason alone. I'll be posting a GI Jane figure that also falls into this category soon.
I stopped reading the DD comic, but it seems that General Gibbs was on his way to being revealed as a Crimson Guard or Red Shadow. Despite this, I thought he'd be an interesting figure to make, mostly because of the greying hair. The only other character with white/grey hair I can think of is Cesspool. With the addition of the sculpted mustache and sideburns, the head is a fairly good match for General Gibbs.
Thanks for looking.
