Harley was the daughter of motorcycle mechanic so her love for Harleys was genetic. She was sixteen when her dad passed away. She disappeared immediately after the funeral. She turned up two and a half years later hanging with the wrong crowd a biker gang called the Dreadnoks. Lucky for her the day before she was supposed to get jumped in and be a full fledged Dread the Joes made a raid on the compound and she was arrested. After finding out her history (clutch and her father had worked on hotrods together in their home town during high school) they cut a deal with her to make her a part of the team if she could give up enough inside information on the Dreads.
