Where to start...


All custom. Styrofoam base with spackle spread on it, poster board with 'felt' over it for the wall. Brazier is a modified Nerf ball with Star Wars Super Battle Droid 'fire damage' and LED underneath. The 'equipment table' is a doll-house fireplace mantle with stair-case parts for legs. Oh, and the pipes are just cobbled together soda straws.

I've recently been reliving my childhood by rereading every issue of the Marvel GI Joe comics. This was my favorite Snake Eyes uniform, and though some folks bash these characters as nothing more than filler to supply Snakes with the costume, that's okay by me. I decided to make the figures and put them in their "natural environment" and made this, showing the brothers in happier times before their world came crashing down.

It's harder to see in the picture here, but the coals in the brazier really are glowing. As soon as the idea started to form, I knew I wanted to light up the fire. I'd considered adding torches to the wall, and I might still. We'll see.

I'll post the individual characters later, after I get Torquemada's knives for his chest (the important part, since that's what Snake Eyes too from him).
