Countermeasure grew up in the wilds of Wyoming where his Marine Dad taught him about the wilderness and survival. In college he was inducted into the seamy underworld of hackers because of his adeptness at mathematical computation and his innate ability to understand just about any computer language. Countermeasure was recruited by the Army for their football program after scouts saw him demolish an entire offensive line during an in-game brawl. Once G.I. Joe learned of his toughness, discipline and computer skill they immediately snatched him up.
