Well, I've gone and done it...created a Duke custom. I've always been kind of ambivalent about Duke, going from liking to hating to just plain ignoring him over the years. The fact that nobody has firmly defined him--between the comics and the toon and the movies--hasn't helped me settle much on him. And add in those multiple versions of him...

Originally I planned to make this one someone new, but the head I was going to use didn't look right, so I figured, "Hey, why not just make him Duke?" I easily modified the VvV neck to fit using sprue and Sculpey. The Headman arms were already a good fit--no rubbing, and they were muscular enough to match the somewhat heavy Flagg legs. In the end I'm pleased with him.
