'89 HEAT Viper

Scrap Vipers are drawn from the ranks of HEAT Vipers. Hand selected by Scrap Iron, as he is very particular about which Vipers he selects, not wanting to have any "Cowboys' under his command. Often after achieving a few "kills" HEAT Vipers begin to feel as though they are far superior to the tanks and the crews which they fight against. Scrap Iron knows better. Hotshots on the battle field get themselves and others killed.

Scrap Iron prefers a methodical process of selection. This includes lengthy written, verbal and practical tests coupled with a complete psychological profile. Scrap Iron wants people who can keep calm in a fire fight, especially when they are carrying high explosives and have several tons of tank bearing down on their position. Once they have proven their knowledge of anti armor weapons and tactics, HEAT Vipers are then subjected to strenuous live fire tests. Provided with one LAW rocket, HEAT Vipers are sent out into the middle of the battlefield and instructed to destroy as many tanks as they can. This often forces the Vipers to work together to survive, those who don't, don't walk off the battlefield. The ones who do are taken under Scrap Iron's wing and taught how to play "Kick the Can" with Joe armor.
