Duke has always been on the fight for justice from a very young age. From age 5, he's always stood up for kids who were bullied or had problems. He was the same all the way through high school and university, never putting a foot wrong. He got very good grades, played football for his college and still found time to exercise and go on dates.

He heard about the conflict in Nam on a TV news report and when he was old enough, he signed up for the army and began his tour of duty there. He was part of the U.S. Army's Special Forces group and worked hard in the heat of the jungle. He became a hero, but always remained modest and turned down a commission to become a top brass CO.

He stayed in Nam after the war and helped the country rebuild. He returned home in 84 and then found himself needed for the G.I. Joe team. He accepted and became the team's First Sergeant, taking over numerous important missions. In 1994, he remained in the army as long as he could until 2001, when he rejoined the G.I. Joe team to help command. He was recruited by the CIA to help capture Major Bludd.

Customizer comments: I thought most of the 2002-05 duke figures lacked the punch of what Duke is supposed to be. Yet the BTR Duke head looked like him and so I made my own Duke, loosely based on the DDP comic version.
