Entire body: DTC Major Barrage
Hair: Sculpted
Shirt: Tissue paper, doped and painted white and ripped
I have been a fan of the Doc Savage pulps and novels for a long time now. I have attempted a couple of figures before, one based on the DC comics version, and one on the Walter Baumhoffer illustrations on the original pulps, but I was never very happy with the results.
This time, I have gone for a loose version of James Bama's cover paintings from the Bantam paperbacks. When I saw the DTC Major Barrage figure, I immediately thought: At last, a figure that will do justice to Doc! I have an older version of Princess Monja that may get redone, and a Morning Breeze from Man of Bronze made from a Swamp Rat figure that I might post. I am also planning Doc's five aides and Pat Savage.
