Grunt was, if I recall right, my very first 3 3/4" Joe way back when they first came out. I long since lost the original but over time accumulated most of the parts I needed to rebuild him. Gave him a new pack and weapon, added some details, and viola! I have my original Joe back in my collection. Improved, of course.

It's tempting in this day and age of hi-tech weapons, satellites and stealth technology to dismiss the infantryman as a relic of yesteryear; but Grunt would prove you wrong. He knows all too well that even the most advanced systems can fail when you least expect them to and then it's up to the fighting man to finish the job.

Grunt returned to the Joes after earning a college degree and spending time on the outside, finding that civilian life just didn't suit him: not enough discipline, camaraderie and he actually missed the excitement of getting shot at. He now leads and helps to train the Greenshirts, an infantryman and a Joe through and through.
