Head: Blackout modified
Torso: Grunt modified
Arms: Flint
Waist: Chief Torpedo
Legs: Dart/Sgt. Hacker
CUSTOM HISTORY: I have made several Chuckles customs over the years, but none I was ever very proud of. I always felt that the Grunt torso would work perfect...as long as I could learn how to sculpt a shirt on it. The same goes for the head. Not to toot my own horn, but I've never really liked very many Chuckles customs because even though the ideas were great, the head was always lacking. The perfect Chuckles custom for me would have a head with flowing hair in the back, a receding hairline and that curl up front. As soon as I felt comfortable enough with my sculpting abilities I set out to work on Chuckles.
The Flint arms work great as the round shoulders and Grunt torso really accentuate the size of the character. I was intent on using the Dart upper legs for the removable knife since he lacked a removable pistol (what can I say, I like the reverse symmetry with the original figure), and the Sgt. Hacker lower legs came last after its initial critique to make his pants seem more casual. I wanted to go with a different pattern for the shirt since I figured the character would have several Hawaiian shirts hanging in the closet. It is true to the character to change his shirt without losing his essence. Lastly, I love how the Black Out face looks with the hair sculpted on. I think it really comes through for the character, though I did have to repaint his eyes so he didn't look like he was staring at his nose.
