I never had Grand-Slam as a kid, so I never developed any affection for him. When I sat down to put him together, I had been planning on making a pretty straight-forward artillery operator. I started thinking about him as a jet-pack trooper, and it gave me some ideas. I tried to make his flight suit bulky to give the impression of protective padding. I'm pretty excited about how he turned out.
