This is a simple kitbash/LBC. Only the epaulettes and one pocket have been painted.

I was fortunate enough to snag a couple of Retro Cobra Officers the other day. I really wanted their mortars to finish off my Short Fuze customs/kitbashes, but that's a story for another day.

Luckily, I was also able to cannibalize some other pieces like the heads, gloves and web-gear. As you can see, it allowed me to re-do my Stinger Driver in a more traditional manner (see my other Stinger Driver entry for my less-than-vintage-accurate version). I have historically used MTF balaclava heads for my Cobra Trooper/Officer customs, but I have never been satisfied with them. The Retro Collection heads do not quite fit the MTF neck, but with a little hot glue, they do alright and I like them much better that the MTF balaclava heads. Unfortunately the MTF Trooper style torso forbids any waterslide Cobra symbols from looking any good, so this Stinger Driver is without his iconic symbol. Hopefully the colors and the web-gear make up for it.
