The Rest: Marauders Task Force Parts

After making 200+ customs of G.I.Joe figures using Marauders Task Force parts, I had become a bit burned out. I no longer wanted to try to recreate the Joe figures faithfully. At this stage, I wanted to try to make new versions of the vintage figures..."Battlecorps" versions. Using the Battlecorps criteria, I figured any new version of a figure would need huge, ungainly weapons, nonsensical uniforms, and at least SOME neon colors. I went over in my head some figures that I thought would make good Battlecorps recruits. Among others, I settled on Cover Girl. With her being a vehicle driver, I thought how, instead of the Wolverine taking Cover Girl along with it, how could Cover Girl take the Wolverine along with HER? That's why she has a massive missile launcher on her back...inches away from her head (hey, don't laugh - Mace practically attached a missile launcher to his face!) I wanted her to effectively be a walking Wolverine. The only other thing I wanted her to have was some wildly out of place clothing. I put her in some designer boots, something fall couture. As an afterthought, I felt she needed something to distance her from your run-of-the-mill Cover Girl custom. Goggles fit the bill. But I was using the long-haired "Athena" Marauders Task Force head. That is my favorite Marauders female head, but the hair on that head does not allow for the placement of any goggles. I didn't want to give up the idea of goggles and I also didn't want to get rid of that "Athena" head. So, I decided to cut off the goggles strap and glue them directly onto her face. The idea being that her goggles are being worn under her beautiful hair. That meant, however, that I would need to cut and slice the goggles in a way as to butt up against her hair. Not an easy task. I tried my best to make it look like her hair was falling over the goggles in the front.
