The Cross Country figure could definitely not be made in today's world. The hat, gaiters and belt buckle are much too controversial. The character, however, is much more mainstream. His file card specifies his family is in the construction industry and that Cross Country is well suited to drive large construction vehicles and driving tracked military vehicles. While I can appreciate the throwback "Johnny Reb" look of Cross Country V1, I do prefer his more relaxed denim jeans look of Cross Country V2
