Recently, I began adding additional members to my various years GI Joe rosters. A lot of it has been adding new characters, but I have shifted into more of a focus of updating earlier characters with newer versions, even if it means some of the parts being anachronistic.

We received a Gung-ho in 83, which was an unimpressive figure in my opinion. We received the Marine Dress Blues version in '87, and while that was cool, he wasn't much fun to play with. We didn't see another one until 92 and 93, which leaves a void for a few years to be filled with a Gung-ho figure that can used in the field. This figure is intended to fit in with my '89 series figures.
