Mongo, short for mongoloid, is a jerk. Not just any kind of jerk he is one of those jerks that wraps his ignorance up in zeal and stubbornly refuses to ever compromise his views in any way. He fights for whatever cause he halfheartedly believes in and usually barely understands. he moves from area to area fight to fight. Not quite as skilled as his reputation would have one believe, he is really just unusually lucky.
