Hatch has been deployed to war zones around the world, though he has never served in the military. He is an imbedded reporter. He has been imbedded with the 82nd Airborne, the 75th Rangers, and even with the Joes. After THEY started rising and destroying the world Hatch found himself without a mission, so he created one.

Hatch is one of the founders of the All That Remains Beyond information network. He is one of several reporters who travel the wastes and gather intel to distribute to survivors around the globe.

His current whereabouts have him traveling with a group of bikers known as the Dreadnoks. It's said that he is searching for the one man who may know the source of the outbreak.
