Recruited by Quick Kick. Jake Burton wanted to work in films his whole life. He was a special effects genius, but to get his foot in the door he started out as a stunt man. Jake was always a gifted athlete so this was an easy transition for him. His speciality was motorcycle stunt work as well as being able to create or modify his own bikes. He had worked with Quick Kick on several sets and the two became fast friends, each teaching the other a little of their trades. One day it hit Quick Kick that Jake would be a good spearhead against the Dreadnoks. So Jake, wanting to get into the role, came up with the identity of FX. His appearance is always slightly different and he uses several movie techniques to give himself an otherworldly appearance. He was the man behind the bike in the Batman trilogy and yes his Joe vehicle is a modified version of that capable of hitting speeds well beyond any bikes on the road.
