Design:

Guardrail is an original character of a machine gunner. Nothing fancy or particularly inventive, just good stock pieces that flow together to make a standard-looking soldier.

Colors & paint:

I started with a dark rust color for the beret, and used it again on the trousers. The upper body is painted as a green jacket over a dark green shirt. The hair is black on a darker skin tone than Falcon, plus added sideburns and a mustache.

There were two paint mishaps while masking off areas before spray painting. A piece of masking tape fell off just under the duty belt- so I had to try to match the rust spray color on the trousers. Didn't work too well. I also over-masked around the micro-printed American flag, so I had to try and match the light green around the flag's edges, again with limited results.

Sculpting & modifying:

The neck was tapered to fit the neck socket. I also removed the puffy hair on the back of the head below the beret.
