Blitz - Jackson R. Tatum nephew of Hall of Fame Safety Jack Tatum was an all American at UCLA. The Oakland Raiders drafted him in the first round because he was a hard hitting ball hawking defensive back like his uncle. But before he could play his first regular season game as a Raider he was banned for life from the league for flagrant hits to the head of opposing players while blitzing earning him the name Blitz. That was just in preseason.

So after seeing what could have been a promising career come to an end, Blitz used his new nickname and tried his hand at pro wrestling, on the southern states circuit. (That's where the nobodies start off.) That's where he met Red Dog of the G.I. Joe Renegades, while training at a Gold's gym in L.A. . Red dog offered him an opportunity to crack some skulls and not have to apologize afterwards.
