Lee Gordon was recruited to be a PMC. He was offered top money, and money he needed for his family. So Lee joined, and because of his excellent performance, he was promoted and was asked to train S.A.W. by his contractor, M.A.R.S. Industries. It was already too late when he found out he was already working for Cobra. Lee became a hesitant soldier of Cobra Command. One day when he witnessed how his fellow S.A.W. Viper brutally killed a medic and unarmed G.I. Joes, it was the time he drew the line. Lee escaped Cobra HQ but not without delivering vengeance. Lee set a huge explosion in the S.A.W. camp which killed plenty S.A.W. Vipers, and then he was gone.

Soon, Lee met with Gen. Abernathy and in exchange for legal pardon, Lee was asked to use his expertise as a G.I. Joe operative. He was designated to be a member of Tiger Force as Frostbite's gunner. Lee feels that there's nothing better in the world than to serve his country and shoot Cobras side by side with the Joes.
